this piece is fantastic! girl, i am loving your art!!!!
and this list. yes, yes, yes.
i am amazed how making these little lists can reframe things for me. i woke up with more of a sense of calm, and i think it was taking the time to think about the positives yesterday in the midst of a day that seemed to have more negatives...
anyway, happy day to you beautiful!
Beautiful piece! I always love your lists and your perception that is evident in each word.
Congratulations on the art success stories!

So happy to read that you are in success mode with your ART ... sweeeeeet! Just posted "five really good things" of my own. Come on over, cool one!
Hi Kelly-
Meditation, for me, started as a natural progression from prayer. Times when I didn't pray first, I had difficulty getting centered and quieting my mind, struggling on and off with it for years. At the recommendation of my spiritual advisor, I pray first ... and toward the end, I slow my breathing, and focus on a holy word (and at some point in the process, I am no longer using it). I am not into hypnotizing myself, so I don't attempt to blank out my mind completely. As thoughts enter, I let them flow down the stream in my mind (amazing things can happen. For instance, sometimes I'll randomly think of a person and during that day, they contact me out of the blue ... pretty wild). My fave way to do it is by candlelight and preferably being in the bath or by a body of water. It's part of my morning routine and I LOVE IT! Granted, there are times when time is not on my side, so I may need to do it at another time of day/evening. But honestly, if I don't make time in the morning, I don't feel quite right.
Whoa, I probably should have just emailed you!
Peace.
Hi Kelly, I just found your blog & Etsy shop... your art is beautiful!
Beautiful piece. And 5 things in THIS moment...okay...
1. At least 6 coffee shops within 6 blocks of here.
2. Three glorious days away from the day job.
3. A road trip to Vegas during Thanksgiving week.
4. Laying remainder of sod in front yard this morning. (Finally, after 2-1/2 years in this rental we'll have a glorious lawn.)
5. Bursting with ideas and creativity at the moment. ;)
Did it :) And invited others to do it. What a nice way to start a Saturday morning!
woo-hoo! i celebrate your 5!
