studio friday [what was i thinking]

what was i thinking....
we took off to indy yesterday
knowing that there was a snow
storm coming - but we
went anyway. by the time
we got out of the mall at
5:45, there was about 6 inches
of snow on the ground.
what should have been
a one hour drive, turned
into almost 4 hours.

so in celebration of our

safe journey home, i threw
open my studio window and
scooped up a big bowl of
snow and built a mini snowman
for my studio [poor soul is melting
as i type] sorry frosty. i put him
in my new mug from starbucks -
isn't it cute!

ohhhh....happy friday [stay warm]

He's adorable. Even with all of the inconveniences it brings, snow is always so special. When my now-teenage oldest niece was about 7, my brother decided on a whim to load up the back of his pickup with snow when he was in Lake Tahoe and bring it back for her. She was the only kid in the neighborhood that morning with a snowman on her lawn.

reminds me of a kids song i used to love. "so i asked my mom, and thought it didn't please her/ she said that i could keep my snowman in the freezer..." wish i could find the lyrics online, but no luck.

what a great idea to make a studio snow man out of real snow. I love it. I wanna make on eto but our window ledges are to small!
