i have a frida pendant that i wear almost everyday. and
it amazes me when people ask if i know anything about her.
then they always make a big comment of [she was crazy,
or have you seen her art?! almost offended, and i get this
crazy sick gratitude, when i answer - why yes! because
i am not at all offended by frida.
she is the butterfly.

I really love this. Last year, my daughter's second grade class put on a presentation of famous artists and inventors. She went as Frida. I pulled her hair back tight, put big earrings on her, long skirt and made a unibrow. She was the hit of the class!
me either (not at all offended by Frida, that is). your pendant and this story are both gems in my opinion!
